New Brewery In Town

WAUCONDA, Ill. — A rustic, reclaimed and leather-filled lounge. Cool, welcoming color palettes and friendly faces. And best of all, food and drink capable of turning a good night into a legendary one.

Side Lot Brewery, an exciting new spot from local owners Phil, Brittany and Jason, will celebrate its grand opening Friday, January 22nd through Sunday 24th.

Side Lot’s small plates of locally-sourced ingredients are prepared daily, offering a unique experience and flavor profile every time. One standout dish is Bacon Jam: smoked, sweet and spicy bacon blended served with brie cheese and crostinis.

“The bacon jam has a wonderful savory & salty bite that is the perfect compliment to the chocolate and caramel malt presence of our Mild Brown Ale”, says Castello, partner of Side Lot Brewery. “all of us grew up knowing the incredible power food and drink has to make someone’s day a little bit better. We created Side Lot Brewery with the goal of recreating that feeling for people. What we have here is a brewery with a coffee shop vibe to it—a place where our guests can feel comfortable, taken care of and completely unhurried. You can spend an entire day here with ease.”

Of course, with a name like Side Lot Brewery, the brews had better be good. With craft beer, microbrews, award winning craft spirits, signature bloody marys, boutique wine and even locally-roasted coffee, one thing’s for sure: No matter what your tastes, there’s a drink for you waiting at Side Lot.

“It’s important to have go-to spots in life,” Castello says. “A great home and a great job, obviously. But also a great in-between place. A coffee shop, or restaurant, or bar. At Side Lot, you can get all three birds with one stone.”
